The original DL1 in RWL-34 steel proved quite popular with folk who prefer a stainless high end alloy that requires minimal maintenance.
However, as good as RWL-34 steel is, I appreciate that some folk prefer a more traditional high carbon bladed knife. As a consequence, I now have available a limited number of DL1 Mk3's made from 52100 Bearing steel - an superb tough alternative to the more common 01 tool steel.

THE DL1 - MK3 (52100 Bearing Steel Version)
In comparison to the Mk 2 version, the new Mk3 version is more substantial in the blade section. Also worth noting is that the Mk3 version is now 4.2mm thick as opposed to 3.2mm. The photo on the right shows my DL1 Mk3 Bearing steel #01 blade that I made up for myself.
Overall length - 225mm Blade length - 110mm Handle length - 115mm Blade thickness - 4.2mm Widest part (at Ricasso) - 32mm Widest part (at start of cutting edge) - 31mm Widest part (at pommel end) - 33mm Type of Grind - Scandi Depth of grind - 8-9mm Pin holes - 3 Lanyard Hole - 1
This knife is for someone a bit special who happens to have the initials D.L. The handle is variegated Black Buffalo Horn over red fibre liners with Mosaic pins. The Sheath is suitably embossed and initialled and has the extension belt loop.
